Sabrina Fernandez CNM, FNP-BC

"I always knew that I wanted to work in healthcare, but it was not until working abroad in remote parts of East Africa that my desire to focus on women's health was kindled. Spending time in this part of the world opened my eyes to a simple truth: that women were the bedrock of strong families and communities. Today, as a midwife and family nurse practitioner, I strive to embody the strength and grace that I saw in the women who inspired me. I am passionate about building a relationship with each of my patients, and about patient advocacy and education. I am equally passionate about the support of all parents and the entire family throughout the process. A midwife's role lies not in simply delivering babies, but in providing the highest possible level of care to everyone involved."
